HB837Training.com is a service of the S2 Safety & Intelligence Institute.
Since 1998, the S2 Institute has trained thousands of professionals in security risk management and public safety topics. Over the past 26 years, S2 has earned a reputation as one of the world’s premier sources for security and public safety training.
We provide classroom instruction and hands-on training at our two school locations in Florida (Tampa and Orlando), a series of joint-operated academies, and venue locations throughout the world. Through our sister company, the S2 Online Academy, we also deliver high quality distance education to students unable to attend live courses. S2’s flagship training programs are also available in multiple languages through licensed training partners in Germany, the Netherlands, and the Middle East.
Beyond our operations as a school, S2’s team of subject matter experts assist clients around the world on matters related to risk assessment, security design and program improvement, emergency response planning, and public safety strategy. As consultants, our clients include a diverse range of corporations, NGOs, and government ministries.
About the Instructor
HB837Training’s “Proper Crime Deterrence and Safety Training” lesson is presented by Craig Gundry.
Craig is the Vice President of Special Projects for Critical Intervention Services and lead consultant for physical security related projects.
Craig is responsible for directing CIS consulting and training services and is the architect of many CIS programs designed for compliance with regulatory requirements including NERC CIP-14, MTSA, CFATS, and Florida Statute 768.0706. He presently supervises a team of ten Florida CPTED Practitioners focused on assisting clients in achieving HB 837 compliance.
Craig is a board certified Physical Security Professional (PSP®) and designated Florida CPTED Practitioner. Craig is also a court-approved expert witness on physical security, risk management, and emergency management topics and was a technical committee member for the revision of ASIS International’s WVPI-2020/AA, Workplace Violence and Active Assailant – Prevention, Intervention, and Response Standard.
He is a columnist on physical security matters for Workplace Violence Today magazine and author of numerous articles on security topics. He also provides expert commentary for news media organizations including Al-Jazeera, BBC, CNN, Fox News Channel, NewsNation, USA Today, and every news outlet in West Florida.
Craig is the lead instructor for the S2 Institute’s physical security and emergency response planning courses. His previous students include over 5,000 security and public safety professionals from over 50 nations. He also lectures on security topics for John Jay College of Criminal Justice and presents PSP® exam preparation courses for ASIS International. Craig is also a TEDx presenter and frequent speaker at conferences worldwide.
